Choosing the right boiler for your premises

Most of the homes and commercial facilities across Britain have gas boilers installed for their hot water and heating needs. When the time comes for you to choose a new boiler, you should study the three major categories and then decide which one you should go for.

When you are looking for a replacement for a faulty or worn out boiler, it makes sense to look for better technology, which not only leads to a gorgeous looking boiler on your wall but also to saving a considerable amount of money in the long-term.

Apart from providing dependable boilers installation services, we are always ready to assist our customers in picking the right boiler type to fit their needs.

Regular boilers

Regular boilers – often called conventional or heat-only boilers – produce central heating and hot water in a non-pressurised, gravity-fed installation. They use a hot water storage cylinder placed in a cupboard near the bathroom and a cold water tank often placed in a high spot within the premises.

  • Ideal for structures with multiple bathrooms and high hot water demand
  • Ideal for installation with old radiators and pipework
  • Complex setup requiring multiple components and room for the cylinder and feed-and-expansion cistern

  • Minimum clearances: top 150 mm (75 mm for rear flue), under 150 mm, sides 70 mm, front 600 mm.

System boilers

System boilers are similar to regular boilers except they incorporate the circulation pump, expansion vessel, and an automatic bypass. Unlike regular boilers, they do not require a feed-and-expansion cistern but do require the system to be pressurised. Their built-in circulating pump and expansion vessel make them easier to install.

Commercial range

Wall hung boilers

Wall hung boilers are smaller in size comparing with the floor standing ones and offer the advantage of being installed above the floor, leaving space for other appliances or installation pipework under. They can be installed in cascade on a mounting rig or stand alone.

  • Gunmetal air separator with system pressure gauge
  • Can be installed in cascade
  • Flues, plate heat exchangers and a full range of eBUS controls are all compatible
  • All models can also be converted to LPG
  • Boiler dimensions (H x W x D mm):
