Boiler repairs, heating and building services in Stevenage — one qualified engineer, about twenty-five minutes away.
I’m a Luton-based engineer, and Stevenage is a short drive across — so for a breakdown I can usually get to you the same day. Gas boiler repairs are my day-to-day work, but I also handle heating, air conditioning, heat pumps, plumbing and electrical work. Because it’s all one person, registered across every trade, a single visit can cover what would normally take two or three separate people — with nobody to chase between them.
One engineer for the whole house.
Most homes in Stevenage don’t need a different specialist for every job. I’m a single engineer registered across heating, gas, cooling, plumbing and electrical work, so one visit can deal with the boiler, the radiators and that nagging electrical fault in the same trip.
And because it’s me from the first phone call to the finished job, there’s one person who knows your system, one person accountable, and nobody passing the blame between trades. A lot of people in the area keep me on for everything afterwards for exactly that reason.
Everything for the home, from one person.
Breakdowns fixed fast
Domestic gas boilers diagnosed and repaired — Vaillant, Worcester, Ideal, Viessmann and the rest. Lost pressure, no hot water, fault codes, noises and leaks.
Services & landlord certificates
Annual boiler and gas appliance servicing, and Gas Safe landlord safety certificates (CP12) for rented homes in Stevenage.
Systems put right
New boilers and heating systems, power flushing, radiators, smart controls, pumps and cylinders — sized and fitted to suit the house.
Cool rooms and home offices
Split and multi-split air conditioning — installation, servicing and repair. Quiet, efficient units for bedrooms, living rooms and home offices.
A lower-carbon way to heat
Air source heat pump installation, servicing and repair. The £7,500 government Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant is available towards the cost of a qualifying install.
Faults found and tested
A qualified electrician for fault-finding, inspection and testing (EICR), fuse-board upgrades, sockets, lighting and heating controls.
Leaks, cylinders and bathrooms
Leaks traced and fixed, hot water cylinders and unvented (G3) systems, bathrooms and general plumbing — the everyday water work that keeps a house running, done by the same engineer who looks after your heating.
Planning a new or upgraded system? I also provide full heating and M&E design — sized and specified properly before anyone fits a thing. There’s more on my heating system design page.
Close enough to come quickly — and to come back.
Stevenage is about twenty-five minutes from my base in Luton. For a boiler that’s died on a cold morning, that closeness is the point: I can usually be with you the same day, with the van already carrying the parts most repairs need. And being nearby means I’m easy to call back — whether it’s the annual service, a second job, or just a question a few months down the line.
Stevenage was Britain’s first new town, so the original neighbourhoods — Bedwell, Broadwater, Shephall, Chells and Pin Green — were built from the late 1940s, and a lot of those homes are now on their second or third heating system. That’s a steady part of my work here: boiler replacements, system upgrades, power flushing and modern controls that bring an older setup back up to scratch. The Old Town has the more traditional High Street properties, while out at Great Ashby and the newer estates it’s more often air conditioning, a heat pump or an efficient new system people are after. With fast trains to King’s Cross there’s a busy rental market too, so I do plenty of landlord gas and electrical certificates alongside the everyday breakdowns. Whatever yours needs, it’s the same engineer who turns up, quotes it, and does the work.
Clear pricing, agreed before I start.
The rate I quote is the rate you pay — no surprises at the end. For a repair, I’ll tell you what it’s likely to cost before I begin. For a bigger job like a new boiler, a heat pump or an air conditioning system, I give a free, no-obligation written quote so you know exactly where you stand.
Backed properly, not just promised.
All my workmanship is guaranteed for 24 months, and parts I supply and fit for 12. I’m Gas Safe and F-Gas registered, fully insured to £5 million, and where a boiler or heat pump qualifies for a manufacturer’s extended warranty, I register it so the cover applies from day one. One engineer, accountable for the work and standing behind it.
Stevenage, and the towns around it.
Alongside Stevenage I cover Knebworth, Hitchin, Letchworth, Welwyn Garden City, Codicote, Datchworth, Aston, Luton and the surrounding villages as standard, and travel further for larger or specialist projects. You can see the full picture on my areas covered page. If you’re just outside the usual radius, ask anyway — if it’s the right job, I’ll come to you.
