I’m based in Luton, and I cover a wide area around it — roughly one to two hours’ drive.

That takes in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and north London for boiler repairs, heating, plumbing, air conditioning, heat pumps and electrical work. For design, Legionella assessments and larger specialist jobs, I’ll travel a good deal further. Across all of it, it’s the same multi-disciplined engineer who turns up.

What I cover

The same work, wherever I’m working.

I’m a single engineer registered across several trades, so one visit can cover what would normally take two or three separate people. My day-to-day work is gas boiler breakdowns, but I also handle heating, plumbing, cooling and electrical work — and because it’s all me, there’s nobody to chase between trades and one person accountable from start to finish. Here’s what I’m called out for most.

Where I work as standard

The counties I cover for day-to-day call-outs.

For repairs and routine work I stay within about an hour’s drive of Luton, so I can get to you quickly and keep the travel from adding to the bill. That covers the four areas below and the towns in between them — if yours isn’t listed but it’s nearby, it’s almost certainly still on my patch, so just ask.

Bedfordshire

Luton, Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Leighton Buzzard, Bedford, Biggleswade, Sandy, Flitwick, Ampthill and the surrounding villages.

Hertfordshire

St Albans, Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth, Berkhamsted and Watford.

Buckinghamshire

Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Buckingham, Newport Pagnell, Leighton Buzzard’s western edge, Wendover and the nearby towns.

North London

Barnet, Borehamwood, Edgware, Harrow, Enfield, Finchley, Mill Hill, Totteridge and Potters Bar.

Why it works

One engineer, several trades — far less for you to coordinate.

Most building problems don’t stay in one lane. A heating fault turns out to be electrical; a cooling job needs a bit of pipework and a power supply; a water-hygiene problem sits on plant that needs a heating engineer. When that happens, you usually have to line up separate people, fit around all of them, and hope they agree on what’s wrong.

Because I’m registered across gas, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing and water hygiene, I can carry most of that on one visit — one person who finds the fault and puts it right, and one person to call if anything needs revisiting. It’s the main reason clients keep me on for the ongoing maintenance once the first job is done.

How I charge

Clear about the travel, and the cost.

I charge repairs by the hour, with parts supplied at a fair mark-up — no inflated call-out fee bolted on top. Within the counties above, the travel is built into the rate, so a local visit is a local price. For work further afield, I factor the travel into the quote up front, so you see the full cost before anything starts and there are no surprises afterwards.

  • Quotes hold for 30 days from the date I send them.
  • My work is backed by a 24-month workmanship warranty, plus 12 months on the parts I supply.
  • One engineer, fully insured with £5m public liability — Building Services ON 247 Ltd, company 09692384.

Whether it’s a boiler that’s stopped, a system to design or an assessment to book, send me where you are and what’s going on. I’ll tell you straight away whether it’s a quick local visit or a job I travel for — and what it’ll cost.
