Instead of calling a plumber, an electrician, a gas engineer and a refrigeration specialist for different jobs in the same property, you call one person. Heating, plumbing, electrics, air conditioning, heat pumps and refrigeration — all properly qualified, all done by me.
Run by one engineer since 2015 — the same person who quotes the job does the work and signs it off, across every trade in the building, from gas and water to electrics, heat pumps and refrigeration. The 20-plus qualifications behind the work mean I don’t sub out the parts I’m unsure of. I’m sure of them.
Who’s Doing the Work
When you call, the engineer who quotes the job is the engineer who does it and signs it off. No subcontractors of unknown quality, no job handed to an apprentice, no warm body sent to “have a look” before someone else turns up. The hands that find the fault are the hands that fix it — and they’re mine: Dionisie Natea, running Building Services ON 247 since 2015.

If you build or refurbish properties, I work as the deep subcontractor behind the scenes: M&E design and system sizing from calculation, heat loss (BS EN 12831) and cooling load calculations, third-party drawing and specification review, commissioning of boilers and heat pumps, and complex diagnostics on systems that won’t behave. I’ve spent years servicing properties built to other people’s specifications — I know exactly where incomplete design causes problems after handover, and I design to avoid them. Get the system right on paper and it behaves on site.

Design and calculation, diagnosis and repair, installation and compliance — all by the same engineer.
Heat loss (BS EN 12831) and cooling load calculations, system and plant-room design, and drawing and specification review for contractors and developers.
Risk assessment to ACOP L8 with clear, prioritised, actionable reporting — not box-ticking. For landlords, facilities managers and regulated premises.
Heat pumps (air source and ground source), gas and electric boilers, plus heating via air conditioning systems. Repairs, servicing and installs. Factory-trained on Vaillant, Worcester, Ideal, Viessmann, Daikin, Mitsubishi and Grant.
Electrical diagnostics, inspection and testing (EICR, PAT) plus KNX and home automation. 18th Edition qualified to BS 7671. Integration work across heating, plumbing and HVAC.
WaterSafe registered through CIPHE. Bathrooms, water softeners, Quooker boiling-water taps, hot and cold supply, press-fit pipework. Luton’s hard water dealt with properly.

Diagnostic and breakdown repair on commercial refrigeration — cold rooms, display fridges, freezers and cellar cooling. Same engineer attends every visit.
A proper power flush — chemical clean, full system rinse, fresh inhibitor and biocide. Restores radiator output and protects new components. Not the same as a quick chemical dose.
Engineering & research
Beyond day-to-day building services, I design and build. As Chief Innovation Officer at Ambient Power Industries I spent two years on thermal-energy conversion — designing heat exchangers, building water-to-water heat-pump test rigs, writing the control sequencing, and making my own heat-pipe and thermoelectric prototypes to recover low-grade energy. It’s the same instinct that drives the day job: understand the physics, then make it work.

Where I work
Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm, with same-day attendance where possible. I cover Luton, Dunstable, Harpenden, St Albans, Leighton Buzzard, Hitchin, Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding parts of Central Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. For design, commissioning and well-defined projects I’ll travel further — just ask.
Out-of-hours cover is available for clients on maintenance contracts and regulated premises where downtime isn’t an option.

Recent work
A client’s heat pump wouldn’t defrost. The manufacturer wouldn’t honour the warranty and had no engineer to send. Working only from the documentation, I traced the defrost control to its sensors — coil, ambient, compressor run time — measured each one, found the faulty sensor, adapted a compatible replacement to fit, and had the unit running again. Five-star review, for a fault no one else would touch.
